Dyan Chan has worked in journalism and business communication for more than 20 years and has been a mom for 10 years and counting. She is co-owner of Lighthouse Blue Communication and Community Relations, which provides strategic advice and hands-on communication work to help its business and nonprofit clients reach their goals, from meeting fundraising targets to increasing recognition in the community. Dyan’s prior work experience includes a decade in corporate communication, public relations and corporate community affairs for a high-tech company, where she wrote the company’s community newsletter, developed the company’s first community affairs communication plan, and managed local community involvement and corporate philanthropy. Before that, Dyan was the editor of the Sunnyvale Valley Journal, the precursor to the Sunnyvale Sun.
Dyan loves spending time with family and friends, reading, writing, staying healthy, and enjoying cheese and dark chocolate with red wine. She lives in Los Gatos with her two strong-willed daughters and her fun-loving husband.
