Bacon Festival Hits San Mateo This Weekend

1. San Mateo Bacon and Brew Festival


When: Saturday, Sept. 28, 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Where: Central Park
Details: Food, bacon, craft brew tasting, crafts, live bands.
Cost: $10/ticket. Admission ticket holder includes festival entry and a free large beer, or A glass of wine, or A soft drink for those under 21. Only ticket holders with wrist band receive the free drink. 12yrs & under are Free, 17yrs under MUST be accompanied by a ticket holding adult (18+).

2. Senior Health and Wellness Center Fair


When: Saturday, Sept. 28, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Where: San Mateo Senior Center, 2645 Alameda de las Pulgas

Details: This FREE Health Fair is for seniors and those who care for them. It will feature many knowledgeable speakers, resource information, screenings, and demonstrations from some 40 health vendors. A community walk will be held at Beresford Park at 9 a.m., registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Please call (650) 522-7490 for more information.

3. Keith Williams and his Jazz Septet


When: Sept. 28, 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Where: San Mateo Main Library, 55 W. 3rd Ave.; Oak Room, 1st Floor
