Are you ready for "the big one"?
On Saturday, residents will have the chance to learn how to prepare for a disaster at the county's ninth annual Disaster Preparedness Day, held at the San Mateo County Event Center.
9th Annual San Mateo County Disaster Preparedness Day
Saturday, June 8, 2013 10 AM – 2 PM
San Mateo County Event Center
The event, help from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, will include:
- Take a free and quick course in basic CPR.
- Learn how to put together a disaster kit and make a disaster plan.
- Watch first responders in action.
Arrive before 11 a.m. for free parking and free admission for the whole family to the San Mateo County Fair.
