Little Sichuan to Be Reviewed By Health System Monday

The restaurant was closed on June 21 due to a rodent problem.

According to Robyn Thaw, public information officer for the San Mateo County Health System, the San Mateo restaurant is scheduled for a review by health inspectors Monday to determine if it can re-open.

This comes after the restaurant by the County Health System on June 21 due to serious violations, described on the County's website as "the presence of vermin, rodents, insects, birds or animals."

Thaw explained, if the restaurant's owners are found to have corrected the violations to the department's satisfaction, the restaurant could be allowed to re-open.

If a business in Little Sichuan's situation does not satisfactorily correct serious violations such as these, or are found to be in violation of them again in the future, the County's website indicates such negligence "may result in the immediate suspension or revocation of the permit to operate the food establishment in question, and/or the referral to the District Attorney's Office for legal action."

Patch will update this story as soon as the results of the County Health System's inspection are available.

I visited this restaurant two years ago, I could have hold you of the dirt, scum and infestation at that time, what took the health board this long to catch on?
