Lanes to Close at Dumbarton Toll Plaza for Equipment Upgrades

Motorists taking the Dumbarton Bridge should expect delays.

Lanes will be closed at the Dumbarton Bridge toll plaza over the next two weeks to allow for system upgrades to toll equipment, and motorists should expect delays, according to transportation officials.

Starting Monday, May 13, and continuing through Thursday, May 16, a single lane will be closed at the toll place from 9:30 a.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning. The closures will start with lane No. 6 and proceed through lane No. 3. Lane No. 7 will be closed from Saturday, May 18, at 5 a.m. until Sunday, 19, at 10 p.m., and closures will continue through May 22.

Similar upgrades have already taken place at other Bay Area bridges and are planned for the Bay Bridge.
