Jerry Hill to Join Seniors in Making Valentines for Returning Soldiers

The soldiers returned to the San Mateo National Guard armory in December.

Assemblyman Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo, will join seniors at the South San Francisco Senior Center Adult Day Care program Friday morning to make Valentine’s Day cards for members of the California Army National Guard who in December.

The California Army National Guard 297th Area Support Medical Company provided medical support in Iraq.

The cards will give local residents a way to show they have not forgotten the sacrifices these soldiers made for their country, according to a statement from Hill's office.

This will be the fourth consecutive year Hill has participated in the Valentine’s For Troops tribute.

Hill will be at the Magnolia Senior Center, located at 601 Grand Ave. in South San Francisco, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
