When her request was denied, Gutierrez allegedly got in the RV and took off. San Mateo officers on scene immediately broadcast a description of the RV county-wide.

Minutes later, a San Mateo County sheriff’s deputy spotted the stolen RV in the area of state Highway 92 and Main Street in Half Moon Bay, and initiated a traffic stop.

Gutierrez continued to drive, ignoring the deputy’s lights and siren for the next several minutes, according to Norris.

She finally stopped the RV at Alsace Lorraine Avenue and Kelly Avenue in Half Moon Bay, and was detained without further incident.

San Mateo police responded to the location of the stop, and Gutierrez was positively identified and subsequently arrested. San Mateo police booked Gutierrez into the San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of burglary and vehicle theft.
