The San Mateo Police Department has released the names of the suspects involved in Wednesday night's home invasion-turned-shooting that left a 24-year-old victim injured and one of the suspects dead.
Bunn Vo, 22, of San Jose, was the only uninjured suspect in the incident. Edwin Lee, 22, of Daly City, sustained an injury, and Bryant Ma, 23, of San Jose, died of his injuries.
Vo has been booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of first degree murder, attempted murder, robbery, kidnap to commit robbery, and conspiracy.
Lee was in San Mateo police custody as of Friday and was awaiting to be booked into jail on the same charges.
The trio allegedly broke into a home in the 1500 block of Lodi Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Responding officers discovered the victim shot in the upper body, and found signs that a shootout had occurred inside the victim's home, police said.
Police said it appears the three suspects entered the house and confronted four victims inside, and that a gunfight ensued between at least one of the victims and the suspects.
Two suspects were shot, and the trio fled in a dark-colored SUV, police said. Shortly after midnight, San Mateo police learned that two people with gunshot wounds had turned up at a San Jose hospital. One of them, Ma, was pronounced dead.
Police have said the home invasion was not a random act.
