A motorcyclist who was Sunday in a crash on Pescadero Creek Road in unincorporated San Mateo County has been identified as 45-year-old Douglas Welch, of Pacifica, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.

Welch was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle that collided with a compact car near La Honda Road at around 3:05 p.m., California Highway Patrol officials said.
