THE MILLS-PENINSULA AFRICAN-AMERICAN COMMUNITY HEALTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE (AACHAC) RECEIVES MAJOR BOOST TO ANTI-BULLYING PROGRAM

WHAT: The
Mills-Peninsula AACHAC will receive
a $50,000 service-learning grant from the State Farm Youth Advisory Board to
support a youth-led anti-bullying campaign and peer support service to address
and create a culture of peace and non-violence in the Jefferson Union High
School District. The project will especially target two critical areas of
concern identified by the students: “cyber bullying” via social media, and
bullying related to racial and ethnic discrimination.
