By Bay City News Service
A Powerball ticket bought in San Jose that matched five numbers in
Saturday's draw, but missed the Powerball number, is worth $2.3 million,
California Lottery officials said.
The ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven, located at 2440 Almaden
Expressway. A second ticket with the same matching numbers was sold in Taft,
in Kern County, also at a 7-Eleven.
One ticket sold in Florida hit the jackpot, valued at an estimated
$590.5 million.
The jackpot is a record for a Powerball game, and ticket sales
were high. A total of 769,585 tickets sold in California won a prize.
