Disabled Caltrain Causes Delays Out of San Mateo
Delays of anywhere between 14 to 59 minutes have been reported.
Caltrain riders encountered delays Tuesday morning because of a train that broke down at the Hayward Park station in San Mateo.
The disabled train, southbound train No. 102, blocked the tracks, and other trains were single-tracking around it, according to Caltrain.
Initial delays of up to 14 minutes were reported, but Caltrain's Twitter feed reported that southbound train 226 was "crawling" through Burlingame 20 minutes late, and that southbound 218 left Hillsdale 59 minutes late, from the northbound track.
