San Mateo Enters 2013 Rand McNally 'Best Small Town' Competition
Winning cities will be featured in the 2015 Rand McNally Road Atlas.

The city of San Mateo has entered the 2013 Rand McNally "Best Small Town" competition and is vying for the BEST FOOD category, city officials announced.
Residents can visit www.bestoftheroad.com and vote San Mateo for BEST FOOD through Tuesday, Sept. 3.
To vote, visit www.bestoftheroad.com, and either search for San Mateo or select the Food category and cast your vote by clicking the VOTE button on the right.
You can vote every 24 hours, share photos and stories featuring your favorite restaurant, and use social media to encourage your friends, neighbors, and family to vote.
Finalists will be announced mid-September and the winner will be announced on Monday, Oct 7. Winning cities will be featured in the 2015 Rand McNally Road Atlas, and will receive a free custom iPhone app as well as an online travel guide promoting San Mateo as a top destination.
As of last week, no other Bay Area cities were participating in the food category.
