Some of the streets…Read More on the west side of City Hall, which should be downtown are named for polo related items. The unfortunate part about the Chukker ane the Villa is that people of color weren't allowed to eat there. But The Shadows, and La Cigone in downtown San Mateo didn't have those problems. Excellent food. The Shadows served German style cuisine with the best barley soup with sourdough bread, tht you ever ate. And the wild boar with red cabbage at La Cigone, French style, was exquisite!!!!!

A woman was killed trying to walk past the driveway on El Camino in San Mateo of Borel Shopping Center. It was a tragic case of a hit and run with the suspect never being caught.
