Since the late '70s, Celia's restaurants, family-owned and -operated, have been serving Mexican cuisine in the Bay Area. This particular location -- the first one in San Mateo -- also offers some of the North of the border favorites like New York steak, burgers, grilled chicken and french fries. Patrons prefer the fresh homemade salsa and chips. The restaurant features a full bar and cantina with 10 additional tables. Happy hour is Monday to Friday from 3pm to 7pm.
