RELAY FOR LIFE SAN MATEO

San Mateo County Fair - CSM Presents

Wednesday, May 15, 2 p.m., College of San Mateo 1700 W Hillsdale Blvd, San Mateo

On Wednesday, June 12, and Saturday, June 15, CSM will be participating at the San Mateo County Fair. CSM's students, faculty, staff and alumni, will be presenting a variety of music, dance and a hair and makeup demonstration on the "Brews & Blues" stage.

Performances will take place from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Wednesday and 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Saturday. CSM's bulldog mascot will be on hand giving out complimentary balloons, available for photos, and assisting our MC, Alex Guiriba, with our prize drawings.

Community Relations & Marketing will be hosting an informational table along with other college staff and faculty programs & services. Please visit our table
and check out our materials or ask us a question. We invite staff, faculty, administration and student participation.

Dining Out For Drowning Prevention

Wednesday, May 15, all day, Fish Market Restaurants 1855 S Norfolk St, San Mateo

The Drowning Prevention Foundation and The Fish Market are hosting a Dining Out for Drowning Prevention fundraiser on May 15th, International Water Safety Day.

How You Can Help: Come have lunch or dinner at The Fish Market on May 15 and give our first responder volunteers big tips (donations) for the cause! 

Why? In June of 2012, a 3-year-old girl drowned in the lagoon near S. Norfolk St. and Day Ave. in San Mateo. Proceeds from the Dining Out fundraiser will be directed to making the San Mateo waterfront community safer through free educational activities such as swimming lessons and CPR training as well as donations of water safety products such as children's life jackets and door alarms.

What else? Kids and fun-loving adults can have their picture taken on the fire engine from 5-7pm. All donors will be entered into a drawing for an Apple TV. San Mateo/Foster City police and firefighters will encourage and recognize your support. Visit the website here.
