San Mateo Library Launches Teen Summer Reading Program

Teens need to read four books between now and August to get a $10 Barnes and Noble gift card.

The city of San Mateo is launching its summer teen reading program this month.

The reading program is open to teens in eighth to 12th grades, and offers prizes to those involved, according to city officials.

To participate, teens must read four books between June and August and write down the title, author and a brief review of each book.

Then, the teens who turn in their four reviews at any San Mateo library branch in August will receive a $10 gift card to Barnes and Noble.
