RANKINGS: Tops in Hoops & Final Soccer Hierarchy

The Central Coast Section champions are in the books for the winter season, including five basketball programs and one girls soccer team from the Peninsula.

Patch's top-10 Peninsula rankings this week include the final hierachy for boys and girls soccer teams -- as their seasons are complete -- and the penultimate rankings for boys and girls basketball, which enter NorCal competition today.

The weekly rankings are drawn from all San Mateo County high schools, as well as schools in Palo Alto, Mountain View, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.

Records include games played through Saturday, Mar. 5.

BOYS BASKETBALL

1. Serra 21-9 (Last week: 1) Lost last 2 WCAL tournament finals & CCS Div. I finals by combined 7 points

2. Burlingame 26-4 (2) Missed last 12 shots to fall short of 1^st section crown; 0-6 in CCS title games since ‘03

3. Sacred Heart Prep 25-2 (3) Won back-to-back section titles for 1^st time; looks for inaugural NorCal crown
