Who's the best on the Peninsula? Here are Patch's high school rankings for basketball and soccer teams.

The weekly rankings are drawn from all San Mateo County schools, as well as schools in Palo Alto, Mountain View, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.

Records include games played through Saturday, Feb. 12.

BOYS BASKETBALL

1. Serra 17-7 (Last week: 1) McGrath buzzer-beater tops St. Francis in OT; Padres look for deep run in WCAL tournament 

2. Burlingame 21-3 (2) Business as usual – anything short of PAL tourney title will be big disappointment 

3. Sacred Heart Prep 20-2 (3) Class of WBAL will be heavy favorite to defend its CCS Division IV crown
