Which Teacher Really Made a Difference this Year?

As the 2011-12 school year comes to a close, Patch wants to know - who was your favorite teacher, and what made he or she so special?

Teachers can have an extraordinary influence on a child. They not only teach us the facts and help us get the grade, some really go the extra mile, serving as mentors and friends, and inspiring students to become more than they ever thought they could be.

As we close the book on 2011-12, Patch wants to hear from our local students - who was your favorite teacher, and why? Who really went that extra mile for you? Parents - was there a particular teacher that you really feel made a difference for your child?

Tell us in the comments, and take the chance to sing that teacher's praise for all our readers to see!

I think the issue is much larger than whether children will experience stress. That ice rink is aRead More local institution, dating back at least to when Fashion Island was there. It's terrible for communities to lose so many landmarks and connect us to the past.
