Lady Bulldogs Rank Second in State in Softball

College of San Mateo is the highest ranked Northern California team.

One loss didn't seem to bother the California Community College softball voters, who deemed College of San Mateo No. 1 in Northern California and No. 2 among the state’s 85 teams in this week’s official polls of the CCCFPCA.

CSM (10-1) was ranked third in NorCal and fifth in the state in the preseason poll and moved up in the first regular season rankings. Cypress College (2-0) remained No. 1 overall.

The Bulldogs opened the season with 10 consecutive wins before losing their first game on Tuesday, 3-2, at San Joaquin Delta, which scored a walkoff run in the bottom of the seventh inning.

I think the issue is much larger than whether children will experience stress. That ice rink is aRead More local institution, dating back at least to when Fashion Island was there. It's terrible for communities to lose so many landmarks and connect us to the past.
