Sustainable Gardening Lecture Series – Drought Tolerant Plants

Now is the time to start planning your drought-tolerant garden to be ready to plant soon after the first fall rains. Learn about drought tolerant plants and the characteristics that make them suitable in the Bay Area, a Mediterranean climate.  Many of these plants are California native plants that survive during long, dry summers on grasslands, meadows and hillsides.  Obtain instructions for planting, subsequent care and culture, and suggestions for style and design.

Sponsored by RecycleWorks, a program of the County of San Mateo Dept of Public Works.
