CSM Softball Clinches Title Tie

Bulldogs' baseball team also wins.

Burlingame grad Natalie Saucedo doubled, tripled and drove in four runs as the College of San Mateo softball beat host Mission College, 12-2, Tuesday in a Coast Conference North Division game.

The Lady Bulldogs (12-3, 33-4) clinched at least a tie for the division title with three games remaining. CSM travels to second-place De Anza (7-6) with a chance to clinch the outright title.

Hillsdale grad Kaylin Stewart added a pair of hits and drove in three runs as CSM scored nine times in the top of the first inning.

Capuchino grad Michele Pilster added a pair of RBIs, while Mikayla Conlin and El Camino grad Selina Rodriguez each had three hits.

Pilster and Notre Dame-Belmont grad Amelia Shales combined on the five-inning two-hitter.

The Lady Bulldogs have two remaining home games in the regular season: April 18 vs. Ohlone and April 23 vs. CC San Francisco, both with 3 p.m. starts.

Baseball: CSM 6, Ohlone 1

Burlingame grad Zac Grotz allowed a run on six hots ver 8 1/3 innings Tuesday as the host Bulldogs (11-5 in Coast Conference play, 17-13 overall) downed Ohlone. He walked one and struck out three.

Brandon DeFazio, Kailen Robinson and Jeff Von Moser each contributed two hits for CSM, which hosts CC San Francisco at noon Saturday.
