San Mateo Real Estate: Fast Sales for Big Money

While June median prices continue to be double-digits above last year, there's some month-over-month cooling in some markets.





Check out the latest data released by MLSListings Inc. on San Mateo County real estate, which shows that compared to five years ago, homes are selling faster and at a higher price.

Median home prices in the city of San Mateo for the three month period of April to June rose more than 20 percent from 2012 to this year, but averaged only a 14.7 increase in the past five years, according to the MLS Listings.

June's median home price in the city of San Mateo was $1.07 million, more than a 25 percent spike from a year ago, when it was $799,000.

Median home prices for the entire county rose 19.5 percent from June 2012 to last month, when the average inched past $1 million.
