State Superintendent to Visit San Mateo

State Superintendent Tom Torlakson will visit Aragon High School on Monday.

will become a bit greener on Monday when State Superintendent Tom Torlakson dedicates a new solar powered system to the school.

District officials, teachers and members of the Schools of the Future Team -- comprised of education, labor, business and environmental leaders -- will join Torlakson in dedicating the school's brand new solar-powered system.

The San Mateo Union High School District in installing new solar powered systems at five schools, which is expected to save the district money in energy costs.

Torlakson will be at Aragon High School for the dedication ceremony at 10 a.m. in the school's outdoor courtyard.
