San Mateo to Host Public Meeting on Hwy 92 Improvement Project

Caltrans will hold an informational meeting in San Mateo next week to present proposed changes to state Highway 92.

The State Route 92-82 Interchange Improvement Project aims to reduce traffic congestion, bottlenecks, weaving and queuing spillback at the interchange on and off ramps.

The purpose of this project is to increase performance at the on and off ramps, and to address the secondary operation deficiencies on the SR 92 mainline.

This would entail widening the existing ramps and reconfiguring the existing interchange from a full cloverleaf to a partial cloverleaf, according to Caltrans officials.
