The Commission on Disabilities was established on Sept. 10, 1991, to represent the estimated 15 percent of residents living in San Mateo County with developmental, physical, mental, sensory and other disabilities, as well as the community at large, according to the commission.

The Commission provides opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in, and influence the development of, public policy which promotes the full integration of people with disabilities in their communities.

For more information about the fair or to enter a car in the show, please call the Commission on Disabilities office at (650) 573-2480 (voice) or the California Relay (711) for those who are deaf, or have hearing or speech impairments, or via email: cmcculloh@co.sanmateo.ca.us.

San Mateo Patch will be at the fair to shoot a video and interview participants. If you are interested in being interviewed, please e-mail Laura Dudnick at laura.dudnick@patch.com.
