Caltrans to Implement One-Way Traffic Control on Hwy 1 in Pacifica

The one-way traffic control will take place from Aug. 15-26, excluding weekends.

The California Department of Transportation will implement daytime one-way traffic control on a segment of state Highway 1 for two weeks just south of Pacifica.

The one-way traffic control will be in effect:

  • August 15 - 7am to 3pm
  • August 16 - 7am to 3pm
  • August 17 - 7am to 3pm
  • August 18 - 7am to 3pm
  • August 19 - 6am to 2pm
  • August 22 - 7am to 3pm
  • August 23 - 7am to 3pm
  • August 24 - 7am to 3pm
  • August 25 - 7am to 3pm
  • August 26- 6am to 2pm

During those times, drivers should allow extra time for travel.

The one-way traffic control will enable construction crews to repair a section of Highway 1 -- about one mile south of Linda Mar Boulevard --  that has been subject to rockslides. Crews will build a new concrete wall on the hill above the southbound lane.
