Woman Killed in Crash on El Camino Real in Burlingame Identified

The crash, which occurred on Friday, killed an 85-year-old Burlingame woman.

The San Mateo County coroner's office has identified a woman killed in a crash in Burlingame on Friday as 85-year-old Elsie Noceti.

Noceti, a Burlingame resident, was a passenger in a Mercedes driven by a 90-year-old Burlingame woman on El Camino Real, according to Burlingame police.

The two were heading north in the left lane at about 9:45 a.m. when the driver failed to stop at a stoplight at Trousdale Drive, police said.

The Mercedes rear-ended a BMW stopped at the intersection that was driven by an 82-year-old Hillsborough woman, police said.

Noceti, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the BMW was not injured.

Both drivers were cooperating with the investigation, which was being conducted by the Burlingame Police Department.
