Undercover Investigation Leads to Major Marijuana Bust

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office executed five search warrants last week and seized more than 640 marijuana plants.

San Mateo County authorities arrested three men and seized hundreds of marijuana plants in connection with a three-month-long undercover investigation last week.

On Thursday, Dec. 15, the sheriff's office executed five search warrents, two of which were found to be active indoor marijuana grow sites, according to authorities.

The other three locations were the residences of the suspects.

In addition to the 640 marijuana plants, agents seized seven pounds of processed marijuana and $1700 in suspected drug profits, according to authorities. The estimated street value of the marijuana is about $250,000.

All of the conspirators associated with this investigation are allegedly members of a close-knit Asian drug trafficking organization and not associated with any known medical marijuana collectives, police said.

All evidence suggests that this operation was a strictly for profit endeavor, according to police.

Search warrants were executed without incident at the following locations:

200 Block of Morton Street, Daly City
Unit Block of Dorado Terrace, San Francisco
1700 Block of Bancroft Avenue, San Francisco

Age: 50 yrs.
City of Residence: Daly City

Name: DOU, Ying Sheng
Age: 48 yrs.
City of Residence: San Francisco

Name: WANG, Luquan
Age: 48 yrs.
City of Residence: San Francisco

CHARGES:

H&S 11358 – Cultivation of Marijuana
11359 – Possession of Marijuana for Sale
PC 182(A) (1) – Criminal Conspiracy
498(d) – Theft of Utilities

Bail: $ 100,000 (each)

The investigation into this drug trafficking organization is on-going and agents are still actively gathering and analyzing evidence. All of those arrested have been released on bail.

The suspects are scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at the San Mateo County Northern Superior Court.
