Suspicious Vacuum Peddler, Elderly Food Fighter

Friday, May 27

2:50 a.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - A couple was reportedly looking at cars and taking pictures of them in a carport on the 4100 block of George Avenue.

3:04 a.m. - Disturbance - A man in a black shirt and white pants was reportedly stumbling in the street on the 1600 block of South Amphlett Boulevard by the fence lining the freeway.

4:29 p.m. - Fraud - A fraudulent refund was caught on tape at Nordstrom's on the 100 block of Hillsdale Mall.

7:03 p.m. - Disturbance / Injury - Police received reports of a self-inflicted injury in a back parking lot on the 1200 block of South El Camino Real.

8:35 p.m. - Battery - Two people got into an argument in the 24 Hour Fitness on the first block of Bovet Road and one of them threw a water bottle.

Saturday, May 28

1:52 a.m. - Disturbance / Fight - A group of people got into a loud brawl on the 800 block of North Humboldt Street.

7:54 a.m. - Disturbance / Fight - Six guys got into fight in a driveway on the 100 block of North Idaho Street and were reportedly drunk.

12:37 p.m. - Suspicious Person - A subject sat across from a family in a store or restaurant on the first block of East Fourth Avenue and stared at them. One family remember reported and told police it was the second time.

12:38 p.m. - Disturbance - A man wearing a maroon, blue and black windbreaker was stumbling around on the 400 block of North Claremont Street and then fell to the ground.

5:38 p.m. - Threats - A woman told police her daughter's boyfriend had been calling her, threatening to have his friends hurt her. Reported from the 100 block of North Fremont Street.

9:30 p.m. - Fraud - Someone lost credit cards while at the Home Depot on the 2000 block of Chess Drive. By the time police were contacted, there was already some fraudulent activity on the accounts.

Sunday, May 29

12:05 a.m. - Battery / Assault - An unknown suspect hit another person over the head with a bottle on the 1600 block of Palm Avenue.

1:40 a.m. - Theft - A large man picked up someone's laptop on the 700 block of Barneson Avenue and walked away.

11:14 a.m. - Domestic Violence - A woman told police that her husband hit her, police then heard a struggle during the phone call and the call was disconnected. Reported from the 3100 block of Casa de Campo.

2:25 p.m. - Domestic Issue - Someone nearly overdosed on pills on the 1600 block of Wellesley Avenue.

3:57 p.m. - Theft - An unknown suspect stole copper wire from a site on the 1700 block of Cypress Avenue.

4:47 p.m. - Domestic Disturbance - A mother and her 19-year-old son were arguing on the 100 block of 44th Avenue. The mother told police her son had harmed himself.

Monday, May 30

12:59 p.m. - Disturbance - An older man wearing a black baseball cap grew angry in a restaurant on the 2900 block of South Norfolk Street and threw food at the counter.

1:01 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - Someone spotted a guy wearing a red hat and jeans peering into cars in the rear parking lot of Equinox on the first block of East Fourth Avenue. He reportedly put his hand inside one car.

5:48 p.m. - Theft - A woman told police that her purse was stolen from her car near Peninsula Avenue and North San Mateo Avenue. Someone then called the woman, claiming to have the purse.

6:43 p.m. - Threats / Road Rage - A driver on the 600 block of Vanessa Drive threatened another driver.

10:13 p.m. - Burglary - An unknown suspect broke into a home on the 1500 block of Shoreview Avenue by entering through a window.

11:58 p.m. - False Information / Arrest - Police arrested someone near North Delaware Street and Cypress Avenue for making a false report.

Tuesday, May 31

12:02 p.m. - Fraud - An unknown suspect was using someone's social security number. Reported from the 200 block of North Idaho Street.

3:38 a.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - A woman was going door-to-door near Casanova Drive and Santa Clara Way selling vacuums, which seemed suspicious to one person, who called police. The woman did not have ID on her.

4:41 p.m. - Fraud / Civil Issue - A man called police after paying someone for a car and the seller in turn refused to hand it over. Reported from the first block of East 39th Avenue.

11:29 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - An unknown suspect broke into a home on the 2700 block of South Norfolk Street and stole laptop and camera.

Wednesday, June 1

10:44 a.m. - Fraud - A suspect was caught on tape using a stolen Nordstrom's card in the Sacramento store. Reported from the 200 block of 23rd Avenue.

11:56 a.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - Someone reported seeing three men hiding in the bushes near Barneson and Borel Avenues, staring at children in a playground. The three men, who were riding bicycles, were in the same place the day before. 

6:05 p.m. - Disturbance - A woman told police that an unknown driver threw something at her windshield and shattered it while she was driving on Highway 92. Reported from the 1800 block of South Delaware Street.

7:42 p.m. - Burglary - Someone stole a ring from a house on the 1600 block of Delaware Street. The owner suspected employees.

9:01 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - For apparently no reason, a tall man wearing a hat and jeans was knocking on someone's door on the 100 block of south Norfolk Street.

10 p.m. - Domestic Violence - Someone saw a man hitting a woman on the 3600 block of Colegrove Street.

11:27 p.m. - Robbery - A woman told police she witnessed a man get robbed near South Fremont Street and Second Avenue.

Thursday, June 2

12:37 a.m. - Disturbance - A man, possibly in an altered state, was trying to tear down a street sign near Dartmouth Road and West Third Avenue.

9:47 a.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - A woman found a gun while she was cleaning her closet on the 1700 block of Marina Court.

1:09 p.m. - Stolen Car - A green Nissan was reported stolen from the 100 block of East 25th Avenue.

3:18 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - A store clerk on the 2200 block of Bridgepointe Parkway reported that a man who has stolen from the store in the past was there again. The man, described as Hispanic and wearing gray hooded sweatshirt, was in the electronics department at the time of the call.

8:12 p.m. - Threats - Some people drove by a girl riding her bike on the 2200 block of Bridgepointe Parkway and threatened her.

9:43 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - A woman became violent and scratched her husband's face and then threatened him. Reported from the the 1500 block of Day Avenue.
