San Mateo Nursing Student Missing

Michelle Le was last seen leaving class at a Hayward hospital Friday night.

Police are asking for the public's help locating a nursing student from San Mateo who went missing from a Hayward hospital on Friday.

Michelle Hoang Thi Le, 26, was last seen at 7 p.m. on Friday at Kaiser Hospital at 27303 Sleepy Hollow Ave. South, according to police.

Le was at the hospital taking a class, which is part of a nursing course she's enrolled in with Samuel Merritt University, police said. Le is enrolled in the San Mateo campus of the school, according to a friend.

Le told many classmates she was planning to drive to Reno after class. She left class during a break and didn't return, according to police.

Police found her car parked a few blocks from the hospital and have not been able to reach Le by calling her cell phone.

Le is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes.

According to her Facebook page, Le is originally from San Diego, https://www.facebook.com/michellethile

Anyone with information about Le's whereabouts is encouraged to call Hayward police at (510) 293-7000.

I think the issue is much larger than whether children will experience stress. That ice rink is aRead More local institution, dating back at least to when Fashion Island was there. It's terrible for communities to lose so many landmarks and connect us to the past.
