Police Seek Suspects in East Palo Alto Shooting

The suspects allegedly shot the victim after demanding money from him.

Police are searching for two suspects in a shooting of a man during a robbery in East Palo Alto early Sunday morning.

The victim, a 53-year-old East Palo Alto man, was walking in the 1500 block of Bay Road when the two suspects approached him from behind, police said.

The two suspects demanded money from the man, and when he walked away from them, he was shot in the back, police said.

Police responded to the shooting at 1:41 a.m. and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower back. He was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

Police are asking for anyone with information about the two suspects to call the East Palo Alto police at (650) 409-6792.
