Police Log, June 24-25: Shoplifter Returns to Shop at Store

The following information was supplied by the San Mateo Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

June 24:

3:21 a.m. - Citizen Assist - Occured in the 600 block of Delaware Street. A male subject was yelling for help.

7:11 a.m. - Vandalism - Occured in the 900 block of Alameda de las Pulgas. A report came in of graffiti on the walls.

8:48 a.m. - Medical Assist - Occured in the 1800 block of Helene Court. A report came in of a subject in full arrest. Fire, police and paramedics were sent to assist.

1:23 p.m. - Suspicious Person - Occured at a store in the 600 block of Concar Drive. Store employee reported that the same subject who had stolen items from the store the previous week was in the store again at that time, in the cosmetics section. Police responded to the store.

6:43 p.m. - Suspicious Person - Occured in the 200 block of E. 4th. A subject that was told not to come around anymore continues to come around, is now back and walking nearby. Police assisted.

9:18 p.m. - Theft - Occured in the 1700 block of S. Delaware Street. Juvenile accused of shoplifting. Parent was also on the scene.

11:52 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - A resident in the 100 block of W. 39th reported hearing male voices outside the home. Police responded.

 

June 25:

9:15 p.m. - Possible Attempted Auto Theft - Occured in the 100 block of N. Claremont Street. A Spanish-speaking woman reported that she believed someone had just tried to steal her vehicle.

9:37 a.m. - Stolen Purse - Occured in the 1700 block of S. Delaware Street. A woman reported someone had just "snatched her purse." Said the suspect was last seen getting onto CA-92. 

10:42 a.m. - Vandalism - Occured in the 100 block of W. Santa Inez Avenue. Someone reported his/her vehicle had just been vandalized, and is standing by for officers to respond.

1:36 p.m. - Medical Assist - Occured at 1800 J. Hart Clinton Dr, in the picnic area near the parking lot. Someone called to report that a person had gone unconscious and was not responding.

2:15 p.m. - Altercation - Occured in the 100 block of N. Grant Avenue. Someone called to report seeing two males in a physical fight.

3:10 p.m. - Drunk in Public - Occured in the 1700 block of Dolan Avenue. Someone called to report a person hanging around that was both drunk and high. The reporting party wanted to know if the person "could be taken somewhere to sober up."
