Police Investigate Shooting into San Mateo Home

The shooting occurred early Tuesday morning.

The San Mateo Police Department is investigating a shooting into a home early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 2300 block of South Norfolk Street at about 4:20 a.m., San Mateo Police Sgt. Dave Norris said.

The officers found several shell casings in the street, as well as bullet holes in a residence on that block, according to Norris.

No one was injured in the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing, but police say it does not appear to be a random act and that the suspects had targeted the home.
