Person Fatally Struck By Caltrain in San Mateo

The incident occurred at the Hayward Park station at about 7:15 p.m.

A person was struck and killed by a Caltrain in San Mateo on Friday night, an agency spokeswoman said.

At about 7:15 p.m., northbound train No. 287 fatally struck the person on the train tracks at the Hayward Park station, Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.

The train was stopped about a half mile north of the station as of 7:45 p.m.
