Pedestrian Struck, Killed Crossing Skyline Blvd.

The crash occurred Thursday evening.

A pedestrian walking across a Daly City crosswalk was struck and killed by a car that drove through the intersection Thursday evening, police said.

Police responded to the scene of a pedestrian-versus-car accident at 5:51 p.m.

A 49-year-old man was walking westward in the north crosswalk on state Highway 35, also called Skyline Boulevard, at Hickey Boulevard when a 1994 Toyota Corolla traveling south on Skyline Boulevard struck him, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver was not cited and alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash, police said.

The Corolla was impounded as police work on their investigation.
