UPDATE: Overturned Vehicle Snarls Commute Traffic on San Mateo Bridge
The roadway reopened an hour and a half after the crash early Wednesday morning.
A car overturned on the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge early Wednesday, blocking lanes for about half an hour during the morning commute, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
The crash was reported in the eastbound lanes, east of the bridge's high-rise, at 6:24 a.m.
CHP Officer Art Montiel said the driver of a Honda Civic lost control for unknown reasons and the car crashed and overturned.
