Overturned Truck Causes Major Delays in San Mateo

The big rig overturned at the connector ramp from westbound Highway 92 to southbound Highway 101 early Tuesday morning.

Caltrans was working to clean up debris from an overturned big rig at state Highway 92 and U.S. Highway 101 in San Mateo on Tuesday morning.

The tractor trailer overturned at about 5:40 a.m. at the connector ramp from westbound Highway 92 to southbound Highway 101 and spilled metal debris in the lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Severe Traffic Alert remained in effect as of 9 a.m. Motorists were advised to expect delays and avoid the area.
