A mountain lion was spotted in Woodside on Thursday night, San Mateo County emergency officials said.
The animal was spotted at about 10:10 p.m. in the area of the 2200 block of Stockbridge Avenue.
Emergency officials advise people who see mountain lions to not approach them, particularly if the cat is feeding or with offspring.
