Man Found Dead in Car at Park & Ride Lot

The death does not appear suspicious.

A 51-year-old man was found dead in his car at a Park & Ride lot off of Interstate Highway 280 near Redwood City early this morning, a San Mateo County deputy coroner said.

No other cars were involved nor were there reports of a crash when California Highway Patrol authorities went to check on a disabled vehicle on the side of northbound I-280 at Edgewood Road just after midnight.

Officials discovered what appeared to be a dead man in a car, CHP Officer Ralph Caggiano said.
