A 25-year-old San Francisco man has been arrested in connection with an attempted child abduction near Parkside Elementary School on Friday, San Mateo police said Sunday afternoon.
Bradley Mvorzek was arrested early Saturday morning after authorities linked him to the the incident at Parkside Elementary, as well as to two other incidents at other San Mateo schools on Friday, San Mateo Police Sgt. Dave Norris said.
In the Parkside case, Mvorzek allegedly managed to abduct a 9-year-old girl shortly before 2:45 p.m. near Parkside Elementary.
He assaulted her and transported her a short distance away from the school in an attempt to isolate her, according to Norris.
The girl managed to escape by kicking Mvorzek, and ran back to the school where she told staff what happened.
Police saturated the area and actively investigated the case, arresting Mvorzek the next morning, Norris said.
Mvorzek on Friday also allegedly offered alcohol to students at Bayside STEM ACADEMY, and was escored off the Horrall Elementary School campus.
Mvorzek has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping with intent to commit a sexual assault, and lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14. He was booked into San Mateo County Jail.
The San Mateo Police Department is still investigating the case and urges anyone with information to call (650) 522-7700.
