All lanes of Interstate Highway 280 have reopened in Hillsborough
this morning after a collision blocked a portion of the roadway for more than
two hours and sent one person to the hospital, a California Highway Patrol
The crash involved at least two vehicles and was first reported at
about 3:45 a.m. on southbound Highway 280 near Black Mountain Road, CHP
Officer James Evans said.
One of the vehicles overturned and came to rest on its roof in one
of the lanes.
A person inside the vehicle suffered major injuries and was taken
to Stanford University Hospital, Evans said.
All or part of the highway was closed while the crash was cleared
until about 6:30 a.m., he said.
