I'd appreciate the Belmont police providing this kind of interactive map to link the police blotter to pushpins on the map -- or, perhaps having the Belmont Patch providing it.
Laura, does the SMPD belong to a service that links the addresses and entries to MapQuest, or does the Patch itself take the police media release and provide this interactive mashup of mapped blotter events?

Hi Tim, good question. The police department provides a daily blotter, which I then add to the Mapquest map. I'm glad you find it useful to see the information in an interactive map! If you ever have suggestions for San Mateo Patch please let me know. Thanks, Laura
