Hillsborough Man Interrupts Burglary-in-Progress

The incident occurred early Sunday morning.

A Hillsborough man interrupted two suspects trying to burglarize his car early Sunday morning, according to the Police Department.

The man, who lives in the 500 block of Hayne Road, went to his garage at about 4:15 a.m. to check his car's dome light and encountered the two people attempting to remove items from his car, police said.

The suspects quickly ran away when contacted by the resident.

The suspects were males, about 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet tall, wearing all black clothing and black ski masks.

Anyone who witnessed something suspicious in that area during the timeframe of the crime is asked to call Hillsborough police.

Police are reminding residents to remember to lock their car doors, remove all valuables and electronics from plain sight, and activate alarm systems.

Report suspicious activity right away to the Hillsborough Police Department: 650-375-7556.

I think the issue is much larger than whether children will experience stress. That ice rink is aRead More local institution, dating back at least to when Fashion Island was there. It's terrible for communities to lose so many landmarks and connect us to the past.
