Highway 101 Closures Scheduled Between Belmont, San Mateo

The highway closures are required for work on Belmont's new bicycle/pedestrian bridge.

Northbound and southbound closures of U.S. Highway 101 are scheduled overnight between Belmont and San Mateo in the next two weeks.

The closures will take place the weeks of Aug. 8 and Aug. 15, city officials said.

Northbound Highway 101 will be closed for four consecutive nights between Ralston Avenue/Marine Parkway and Hillsdale Boulevard from 12:30 a.m. to 4 a.m. from Monday, Aug. 8 through Thursday, Aug. 11.

The detour for that closure will be Ralston Avenue to El Camino Real to Hillsdale Boulevard.

Southbound Highway 101 will be closed for four consecutive nights between Hillsdale Boulevard and Ralston Avenue/Marine Parkway from 12:30 a.m. to 4 a.m. from Monday, Aug. 15 to Thursday, Aug. 18.

The detour for that closure will be Hillsdale Boulevard to El Camino Real to Ralston Avenue.

The closures are required to paint the Ralston Avenue Bikeway Overcrossing in Belmont.

Detour signs will be posted to direct traffic.
