The pursuit started in San Pablo shortly after midnight and went through San Francisco, before ending in a rollover crash in San Mateo.

A pursuit that reached speeds of 90 mph and started in the East Bay ended in a rollover crash in San Mateo overnight, KTVU Channel 2 is reporting.

The pursuit, which began shortly after midnight, spanned into San Francisco before reaching the Peninsula, when the suspect swerved and lost control of his car at about 12:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 101 near Poplar Avenue, according to KTVU.

The car rolled several times and the driver was taken to Stanford Hospital with minor injuries. KTVU reports he will be taken into custody upon his release from the hospital.

According to the Contra Costa Times, the driver was allegedly drunk and was in a 1980s-model Volvo.

Southland lanes of U.S. Highway 101 near Poplar Avenue were closed for about an hour while emergency personnel tended to the scene.
