Former CSM Football Player Visits Boston Bombing Victim

Former College of San Mateo football player Julian Edelman, now the New England Patriots wide receiver, was pictured in a USA TODAY feature item -- he and actor Bradley Cooper visited Boston marathon bombing victim Jeffrey Bauman Jr. in the hospital.

Edelman tweeted a picture last week from Bauman's hospital bed alongside the caption: "Visited #survivor #stud #hero Jeffrey Bauman Jr. today. He was looking great and is a true inspiration. #strong"

Bauman was depicted in an AP photo that's turned iconic — Bauman is the man in a wheelchair being pushed away from the finish line by a man in a cowboy hat.
