One person was killed in a solo car crash on northbound interstate Highway 280 late Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Just before 11:10 p.m., a motorist who was heading north on Highway 280 near the interstate Highway 380 connector ramp slammed into the center divider, according to the CHP.
Emergency responders on the scene a short time later found the driver unresponsive and were unable to detect the victim's pulse.
San Mateo County coroner's office personnel were en route to the scene as of 11:40 p.m., after the collision was ruled a fatality, according to the CHP.
Two left lanes on northbound Highway 280 near the Highway 380 connector were blocked as crews responded to the crash scene as of 11:45 p.m.
No other injuries were reported and no further information was immediately available.
