Crime Blotter Sept. 16-19: Robbed at Knifepoint; Tattoo Parlor Burglarized

Friday, Sept. 16, 2011

3:10 a.m. – Suspicious Circumstance – An unknown object broke a window of a home in the 100 block of North El Dorado Street.

10:43 a.m. – Fraud – Police took a report of identity theft in the first block of East Third Avenue.

12:22 p.m. – Theft – An animal trap was stolen in the 400 block of North San Mateo Drive.

2:09 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstance – A white Chevrolet truck was spotted dumping some sort of substance in the 300 block of North Bayshore Boulevard.

4:58 p.m. – Theft – Two woman stole a purse in the 400 block of South B Street.

5:11 p.m. – Disturbance – A person was reportedly attacked by a dog in the 1900 block of J Hart Clinton Drive.

7:47 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstance – A woman told police two men in a silver vehicle had tried to get into her house.

11:36 p.m. – Hit-and-Run – A witness to a hit-and-run put a note on the reporting party’s vehicle.

 

Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011

3:03 a.m. – Robbery – A man reported being robbed of money at knifepoint in the area of Cypress Avenue and Idaho Street; two people were taken into custody.

4:23 p.m. – Theft – A theft was reported in the 1100 block of Bermuda Drive.

4:58 p.m. – Disturbance – A fight was reported at Heritage Rugs & Home Décor in the 300 block of South Ellsworth.

5:12 p.m. – Hit-and-Run – A hit-and-run was reported in the first block of West Hillsdale Boulevard; the suspect vehicle was described as possibly being a red Scion.

11:37 p.m. – Theft – A theft was reported in the 100 block of East 25th Avenue.

 

Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011

12:40 a.m. – Suspicious Circumstance – Two suspects on BMX bicycles shot out some car windows with what sounded like air guns in the area of Day Avenue and Marina Court.

3:47 a.m. – Suspicious Circumstance – A resident reported hearing a beer bottle break in the first block of south Kingston Street.

1:26 p.m. – Fraud – Police took a report of identity theft in the 3200 block of Los Prados.

2:06 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstance – A woman found a homeless man inside her vehicle in the area of Fifth Avenue and South El Camino Real.

5:15 p.m. – Disturbance – A man in his 20s hit another shopper at Hillsdale Mall.

 

Monday, Sept. 19, 2011

11:19 a.m. – Vehicle Burglary – A window-smash vehicle burglary was reported in the PetSmart parking lot in the 3500 block of South El Camino Real; the crime occurred the previous night.

11:24 a.m. – Suspicious Circumstance – A resident in the 500 block of Virginia Avenue reported someone had attempted to enter his or her house the previous Thursday night.

1:58 p.m. – Burglary – A commercial burglary was reported in the first block of 42nd Avenue.

5:35 p.m. – Burglary – A computer and a couple iPods were stolen from Godspeed Tattoo in the 600 block of South Norfolk Street.

7:35 p.m. – Burglary – A vehicle burglary was reported in the 1800 block of South Grant Street.
